Services

AGAPE is in touch with the needs of the community. We welcome and support the immigrants, the refugees and the homeless such as fire victims and others.

We are connscious of environmental programs as we wish to offer a better future to our children. We have established a recycling program for the extra clothes received. It is sent to the homeless and needy in neighbouring towns. However, when the clothes are too damaged, it is cut into rags and sold at $1.00 per bag to our local factories and garbages.

We are also helping under priviliged countries:

Haïti, Jamaïca, Grenada, Congo, the philippines, etc., by donating clothing, books and other accessories.

In addition to supplying clothes and furniture to the needy families, the following services are given:

• Pick up preparation and delivery of food baskets throughout the year. Over the Christmas and Hanukkah holidays, we prepare food for over 1,200 families in Laval thanks to the generosity of our English schools, parishes, churches, community groups and the English speaking sectors of Laval. Over $285,000 in food items are distributed over the holidays.
• House serarch including meetings with landlords for agreements, acceptance and signatures of leases.
• Back to work and back to school programs.
