Support for networking of the health
and social services system
This project falls within the main objectives of Health
Canada’s contribution program to improve access to health
services for official language minority communities.
The goals of the project, “Support for networking of the
health and social services system” for 2007-2008, are:
- Support the implementation of Info-Santé health line
reforms in Quebec with an approach adapted to
English-speaking Quebecers;
- Support the development of Info-Social telephone
services throughout Quebec with approaches and tools adapted
to English-speaking Quebecers;
- Support regional health and social service agencies and
community organizations in following-up/monitoring the new
programs for access to health services and social services
in the English language.
A $1.1M envelop was granted by Health Canada to the QCGN,
which in turn mandated the Community Health and Social Services
Network (CHSSN) to carry out the project.
